Living the Affirmation of our Baptism

During our recent Wednesday Evening Worship gatherings, we had a series of discussions on the promises we make to God during the Service of Affirmation of Baptism. As God’s Spirit helps us live those promises, God changes us, to help change our world, by empowering us to live our baptisms, to lives of love for all, giving us all more hope and peace.

What a wonderful, succinct, recap of our statment of faith in these five short 1.30 minute vignettes of values. I feel this is a call to action too -- for us to be the salt and light of the world. I find value in Pr. Rick sage words. We have a task and that is to continue to bring heaven on earth. I live by the mantra that you and I don't have to do everything however we all need to do something. A smile, a kind word, a prayer, a call to an elected offical; we are called by God be an activate participant in our world and not simply an observer.
